ANIMAL TAPESTRY is a book containing four dreams with animal narratives. It is the first book in a series about dreams and imagination. The artist wrote the text, hand-lettered it on painted Arches text wove and MacGregor handmade papers and bound the book, MS 126.
Your conscious brain, your ego, makes up ten percent of your brain activity. Your subconscious is ninety percent of your brain function and contains your dreams and imagination. Like the underbelly of an iceberg – it is invisible but alive and active. While sleeping, your unconscious mind is still working, mining your inner resources and speaking to you through dream narratives and images. In INNER WORK, Robert A. Johnson wrote: “We have to recognize that dreams are intricate tapestries of symbolism, and each image represents something going on within our own selves.”
